Story templates
Using story templates
Not sure where to begin? You don't have to start from a blank canvas. Intractive's template library is full of ready-made Stories you can use as inspiration or as a format to build on.
What's in the library
Open the library and you'll find two kinds of ready-made Stories, and it's worth knowing the difference:
- Templates — a story you can use straight away. The structure is done; you just swap in your own messaging (what you want to say) and apply your brand kit for your own look and feel.
- Story guides — specific use cases that come pre-filled with content, to show you how a particular kind of story comes together and give you a running start on the idea.
In short: a template is a format to fill with your own content; a story guide is a worked example for a specific use case.

Preview or use a template
Browsing the library, hover over any template to get two options:
- Preview — opens the template story so you can experience it exactly as a viewer would, before you commit. A great way to find the one that fits.
- Use template — adds the story straight to your project.
From template to your own story
When you select Use template, the story is automatically added to your Project and appears in your stories overview. Just give it a name, and you're good to go. From there it's your story — a fully editable copy, with the original template left untouched.
What comes across with it:
- All branches and content blocks
- Content block settings
- Story variables
- Branding and theme choices
