# Interactive content blocks

# Interactive content blocks

Use our interactive content blocks to make your story more engaging. Some content blocks also allow you to collect more information from the viewer. You can use this information in variables to guide the viewer in the right direction. Find the right interaction block for your message.

## Hotspot finder
The **Hotspot finder** turns an image (or a looping video) into a game by making specific areas tappable. Viewers hunt for and tap the right spots — think a "find the object" game, spot-the-difference, or a visual quiz on a detailed image.

What you can set:
* **Hotspots** — draw tappable areas anywhere on the image and give each one a label. Position and size are fully up to you.
* **Answer mode** — decide when the block counts as done (e.g. any correct spot, or no wrong spots).
* **Zoomable** — let viewers pinch-to-zoom into a detailed image.
* **Allow reselecting** — let viewers change their pick.
* **Looping video** — use a short looping clip instead of a still image, with a set loop range.

Use it as a branching menu by wiring each hotspot to its own branch — great for "choose what you want to explore" screens.

## Matching pairs
**Matching pairs** asks viewers to connect items that belong together — text to text, text to images, or images to images. Best compared to a memory or matching game, it's a playful way to test knowledge or reinforce a concept.
What you can set:
* **Content type** — choose **images** or **text** for each side, using the dropdown menus. You can even use two columns of images (left and right).
* **The pairs** — click **Add more** to add each pair, then fill in the text and/or images.
* **Automatic shuffle** — the answers are shuffled automatically for every viewer, so no two runs look the same.

## Multiple choice
The classic quiz block: pose a question and offer answer options. **Multiple choice** is your go-to whenever some answers are right and some are wrong — and you can have as many correct answers as you like.

What you can set:
* **Answers** — add as many options as you need; each can have a **label** and an optional **image**, and you flag which ones are **correct**.
* **Answer mode** — control how a mixed selection is judged
  * Continue until all correct answers found
  * Stop at first wrong answer
  * Continue at first correct answer
* **Option layout** — show the answers as a **list**, a **grid**, or an **icon grid** to suit text or image-heavy options.
* **Required** — decide whether the viewer must answer before moving on.
* **Points** — award points (and a speed bonus) for correct answers.

### Riddle
The **Riddle** block (also called *Question with a fixed answer*) asks an open question and checks the viewer's typed answer against the answers you've defined. Perfect for trivia, treasure hunts, or any moment where you want them to *work out* the answer rather than pick from a list.

What you can set:
* **Question** — the prompt the viewer sees.
* **Accepted answers** — add one or more correct answers, mainly to cover spelling variations. Small typos are forgiven automatically, so a minor slip still counts as correct.
* **Hints** — add up to **three** hints to help viewers who get stuck.

## Swipe cards
**Swipe cards** bring a Tinder-style interaction to your story: viewers swipe each card left or right. It's a fast, playful way to capture agree/disagree, like/dislike, or sorting decisions.

What you can set:
* **Cards** — add as many as you like; each card has a **label** and an optional **description** and **image**.
* **Custom swipe icons** — set your own left and right button icons to match the meaning (e.g. a heart and a cross).
* **Randomise** — shuffle the card order for each viewer.
* **Required** — require the viewer to swipe through them all.

**Note:** the swipe cards block has no built-in intro text. If you need to explain the swipe gesture, add a short **Text** block right before it.

| 💡Variables : Each swipe (left or right) can update a variable, so you can score or route viewers based on how they swiped. In this case the viewer get 1 point for unhealthy if the viewer shapes the pizza to the right and 1 point for the variable Healthy if he shapes the salad to the right.

## This or that
**This or that** presents two options side by side and asks the viewer to pick one. It's the quickest way to capture an either/or preference — coffee or tea, option A or option B — and keep the story moving.
What you can set:
* **Pairs** — add one or more A/B pairs. Each side (**left** and **right**) has a **label** and an optional **description** and **image**.
* **Intro text & header image** — frame the choice with a prompt and a visual.

💡 The side the viewer chooses can drive a variable, making this a neat way to profile preferences or branch the story.

## True or false
**True or false** poses a statement and asks the viewer to judge it. Simple, punchy binary trivia — ideal for quick knowledge checks and myth-busting.

What you can set:
* **Statement** — the claim the viewer evaluates (rich text supported).
* **Correct answer** — set it to **True**, **False**, or **Both** (handy when either response is acceptable).
* **Image & image filter** — add a visual and apply a filter (for example **grayscale** or **darken**) to set the mood or add a little challenge.

## Ideas & Inspiration
* **Build a full quiz** by chaining Multiple choice, True or false, and Riddle blocks, then award points and show a result at the end.
* **Profile your audience** with This or that and Swipe cards, storing each choice in a variable to personalise what comes next.
* **Reinforce learning** with Matching pairs to help concepts stick.

## A handy shortcut: copy a block
Built a block you want to reuse? Click the three dots on the block and choose Copy content block, then add it back in via New content block. It's the fastest way to keep styling consistent across a story and an easy way to test your content block and see how it looks like after you have made some changes.
